Good afternoon fellow NOMCs, I am looking forward to conducting my dissertation research study regarding teacher candidates dispositions (attitudes) and self-efficacy beliefs toward blind individuals this fall. I am looking for volunteers who are blind/visually impaired who would be open to phone, email, or video chat interviews during the fall quarter. These interviews will be approximately one hour and the participants (teacher candidates) will have a list of questions to ask related to life as a blind person, school, work, etc. I will ask participants to conduct two interviews. Wheelchair seminar on Sunday, July 7

Good morning fellow Cane travel instructors, As some of you may have already heard we will be having a seminar for two sessions on Sunday on the use of wheelchairs and white canes. We are renting some wheelchairs and having them delivered to the hotel for the purpose of the seminar. Unfortunately, the Bell Captain station Will charge charge me $120 round-trip to deliver them to the convention center. That is almost the price of renting this equipment in the first place. I am looking for 3 intrepid volunteers to meet me at the Bell Captain station and help me transport one power wheelchair, one scooter, one manual chair and one walker to the convention center and back. If you are interested in helping out with this presentation, please email me at Widearc2000 at gmail.com or call 918-852-1397. Dr. Bell, it might be fun to send grad students to help me. They will get to drive the wheelchairs over to the convention center. What young travel teacher doesn?t want to play around with a power wheelchair?
