Bus stops and addresses

Hello Everyone, A few years ago, one of our fellow NOMC's mentioned that in their city all of the bus stops have a regular street address, making it possible to use GPS, or ones knowledge of the address system to locate them. They also gave me the impression that this had been done in other cities as well. I'm wanting to get this introduced here in Lincoln, but it would be helpful if I could point Startran to at least one city where this is in place. Abstracts should be submitted on one of the following conference themes or another closely related track: * Structured Discovery methods and principles across the lifespan. * Successful integration of alternative blindness skills in the classroom * Braille Instruction for students who are blind or low vision * Educational technologies, policies, and practices for teachers of blind students. * Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) strategies and programs. * Strategies for successful transition from education to rehabilitation. * Teaching Structured Discovery methods and techniques in core subject areas (Cane Travel, Braille, etc.). * Rehabilitation methods, principles, and policies that effect instructors and administrators. * Successful strategies for competitive integrated employment * agency-wide philosophy and culture on blindness. The purpose of the training is to cover some broad topics relevant to all individuals in work at certified SD centers, and to establish a forum for instructional staff to discuss curricular ideas and instructional topics.
