Dear SD Center Director and Certified Professionals
Note: This regards a change of date to the training we will be hosting.
The purpose of the training is to cover some broad topics relevant to all
individuals in work at certified SD centers, and to establish a forum for
instructional staff to discuss curricular ideas and instructional topics.
Date: Monday, August 26, 2024
Time: 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Central Standard Time
Location: Zoom information to be provided later
Note: If you have already registered for the Aug 23 date, you do not need to
register again; however, if you have not done so yet, you should know that
your participation is dependent on your registration.
I am asking you to use the following link to register yourself for this
event.
During the training we will plan to have individuals separate into breakout
groups according to their instructional area or according to their
certification. For this reason, it is important that each person register
themselves and register with the email address they have associated with
zoom and/or will plan to use for the zoom meeting.
During the registration, you are asked to select your instructional area,
from administrators, to instructional areas such as cane travel,
braille/communications, access technology, home management/independent
living, or other instructional area.
Please note: We are setting Thursday, August 22 as the deadline for all
individuals to register for this training. This deadline will allow us time
to ensure that only certified individuals are allowed to participate, that
individuals are properly assigned to the appropriate breakout rooms, and
that information is conveyed to you in a timely manner.
If you are not sure which area you should sign up under or if you have
questions about whether a person should be included in this training event,
please reach out to Edward Bell at ebell at pdrib.com <mailto:ebell at pdrib.com>
