I wanted to clarify some information contained in the recent job posting regarding the position at the Alabama Freedom Center. This agency is NOT a Structured Discovery center. They may have hired some folks who have SD certification in the past, but their practices do not conform to the standards of Structured Discovery practices and this center has never been recognized as such by NBPCB, and I think some of the information in their job announcement is misleading. Clearly, many centers recognize the superior benefit of Structured Discovery training, and in the past some have, and even to this day, some continue to claim to provide Structured Discovery training, but they do not. This is my response as an individual and I am not professing to officially speak on behalf of NBPCB, but I know that some agencies want to give the impression that they provide the same level of training as those recognized as SD centers when they do not.
