Registered Nurse
The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Early Childhood Program is currently recruiting for an RN in Albuquerque. This position will provide health care services to visually and/or multiply impaired students in an educational pre-school setting. New Mexico Board of Nursing Licensure is required, and eligibility for NM Public Education Department licensure; minimum of two years? experience, preferably in pediatrics. 9?month contract. Orientation and Mobility Specialist
The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Early Childhood Program is seeking an Orientation and Mobility Specialist. The O&M Specialist will provide services to enable students aged 3-5 to travel safely and efficiently within their school and community. The O&M specialist will also help to encourage students with multiple disabilities to move within their environment within their means. Position requires a BA degree or higher with certification as O&M. Applications accepted until filled.
Early Childhood Classroom Teacher
The New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired Early Childhood Program is seeking an experienced and qualified teacher of the visually impaired for our site-based preschool and kindergarten program. Early Childhood experience is required. Special Education and TVI licensure are preferred or willing to acquire TVI. Teacher would be responsible for teaching, assessing and monitoring a classroom of VI and/or multiply impaired students. Will be required to become Braille proficient. Full?time, 9-month contract. Immediate opening for the 2015-2016 school year. Applications accepted until filled.
