Dear NOMC As you may know, the Orientation and Mobility Specialists Association, OMSA was created to be a membership organization for all mobility instructors, including NOMC. Here is a link to a new blog that has been created for new professionals. ****** As you are aware, we are creating a blog called New Professionals in Mobility designed to allow new professionals in the fields of Orientation and Mobility to discuss ideas and offer and receive support from other new professionals. http://newprofessionalsinmobility.blog/ We are sharing this information with you in the hope that you will post to the site so that we can continue to work out the kinks before announcing the blog to the profession. We also welcome any feedback from you about your experience using the site. Eventually, we would like to ask you to share the attached letter with your current students and those that have graduated between 2017 and now. When that time comes (probably at the beginning of the fall session or semester) we hope that you will help us by announcing this blog to your graduates and current students. We hope this new group will assist in creating a community focused on bettering our field so that we can continue to improve our services to people who are blind or visually impaired. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us with questions or responses. Thank you for your time.
