I connected with my Cane Walk Family this afternoon. The lesson began with working on technique inside the home of the young man. We then got outside and had him locate some things and even walked along a quiet street. They had lots of good questions and it was enjoyable. Hi all, I have a very little one. The parents and sister are blind and they all use nfb canes so those preliminary discussions about need for cane are not the areas we are focusing. Since their daughter is so young I have been sending little cane themed songs and activities to do with her individually and also as a family. We been emailing back and forth frequently.
