Structured Discovery Professionals Training

As part of our ongoing commitment to professional development, the Trainers
Committee for Structured Discovery (TCSD) Education Subcommittee is pleased
to invite you to an upcoming 2-part presentation hosted by our Louisiana
Tech graduate students on the history and evolution of Orientation and
Mobility (O&M) and the development of key terminology within Structured
Discovery. This session is designed for anyone interested in deepening their
historical grounding, sharpening shared language, and supporting the next
generation of instructors.

During this presentation, our graduate students will explore:

*	A concise historical overview of O&M, including major shifts in
philosophy and practice.
*	The emergence and growth of Structured Discovery, with attention to
its roots, influences, and defining features.
*	Core terminology used in Structured Discovery, why it matters, and
how consistent language strengthens instruction and advocacy.
*	Reflections from new practitioners-in-training on learning,
applying, and communicating these concepts.

This presentation is part of their graduate preparation and offers a
valuable opportunity for community dialogue, shared learning, and
professional connection among Structured Discovery practitioners.
