I have also heard that only students with blindness, as their singular disability, can be taught SDCT. These are two things I hear often. I?m not trying to toot my own horn by any means, but I did a podcast recently and Jonathan Mosen who interviewed me addressed a lot of these misconceptions about SDCT.
