The Free White Cane program application form can be found here: https://freecane.nfb.org/ In the application it reads: Cane Sizing For starter canes: measure to your armpit. Seasoned travelers: measure to your chin or higher. ## If the only cane a person has is one of these heights, and it is not reasonably easy to get a longer one, I am not opposed to working with them, but I personally aim for a cane to reach to some part of their nose. This is achievable for basically everyone because a typical adult nose is at least 2 inches long so that some cane will match this spot. If this strikes a lot of people as odd, do you think we should try to get the instructions on the form amended?
