Hi Jeff and all, At the present time, I am not sure I will be able to make it this year. I?m in a wrestling match with Fibromyalgia and Dupytren?s Disease which takes away some of the use of my right hand. This makes typing difficult.. If any of you on the list knows anything about these conditions, you may understand. In a nut shell, it is like the flew that won?t go away. I am working hard to walk through it like I did my training at LCB. I am in pool therapy, as they want to take off the compression which feels like a hammer pounding me on the head and neck. One doctor told me this is a diskogenic headache. Anyway, I?m writing to respond and tell you what reality is for me now; not to be complaining. If I came across, then my apologies. One thing I am sure thanks to the good Lord is that I now have a thick skin, (Smile). I wish you all of the best and take care. Jeff, you can E-mail off list if you want to talk more, or you can call my cell. I?m signing off for now. Thanks and best regards, Adam From: Deb and Jeff Altman Sent: Monday, March 20, 2017 9:40 PM To: nomc at lists.nbpcb.org Cc: Melissa Ann Riccobono Subject: [Nomc] 2017 Cane Walk Hello Fellow NOMC?s, We are again approaching our National Convention, and it is time to begin planning for the 2017 Cane Walk. As each of you knows, this is an opportunity to share our skills, and the spirit of independence with the youngest members of our Federation family, along with their parents. I hope that each of you will set aside the time to volunteer your time and energy to this year?s Cane Walk. This is also an opportunity for each of you to receive CEU?s toward your recertification, and to gain valuable experience working with children and young adults. This year, the Cane Walks will be held on Tuesday, July 11. The times will be the same as always?the first session from 8:45-10:30 and the second session from 11:00-12:45. I will send along the specific location for the two sessions of the Cane Walk as soon as this information is available. Please let me know if you will be available for one or both sessions. The popularity of the Cane Walk continues to grow, and each of you do so much to make a difference in the lives of these young people. I look forward to seeing each of you again this year. Sincerely, Jeffrey T.
