I'm now wondering. -----Original Message----- From: Jane Lansaw <widearc2000@gmail.com> Sent: Thursday, September 18, 2025 1:37 PM To: Dezman Jackson <jackson.dezman@gmail.com> Cc: admin@nbpcb.org; members@lists.nbpcb.org Subject: Re: [NOMC] Re: Structured discovery teaching Mailing List? It didn’t strike me as spam either until after I tried to communicate with the moderator. I forwarded the message to my personal email which is what I have on file with NOMC. It’s also where I get this list. I sent a message from my personal email to explain why my work email got involved and that I would like to have it go to that email from which I was sending. this is when I got a weird message that said things like ignored or processing or something that didn’t make sense. I repeated the procedure from my work email thinking that might be better when I got another message on my work email that didn’t even say ignored. It gave me a bunch of letters like Z-– Carrot X-etc. etc. It was this next message on my work email that made me think it might be spam. Jane Lansaw NOMC Sent from my iPhone

Yeah, I got the same sign up message as well. It did not strike me as spam.

All, The SD Teaching list is completely legitimate and has been created as a way for us to distribute announcements to anyone who may be interested regardless of who they might be. This NOMC list remains closed to only those who have one of our Structured Discovery certifications and is a means for back-and-forth discussions. Unlike this closed list, all announcements submitted for the SD Teaching list will have to be approved to be sure that only relevant posts are distributed. This will protect you from getting unwanted solicitations.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

Good morning everyone, I got this email at work. I assume it was sent to my work inbox because when My Work pays for me to attend and if we convention or other conferences, my work email gets used. With everything else, NOMC, and BPCB and Nfb, I use this email address. There was a place in the original email describing how to change email addresses and I did so. I kept getting non sequitur responses so now I’m a little worried. It might be scam. Instead of risking everybody by forwarding the entire email. I grabbed the email address and will paste it below so if anybody knows if this is legitimate or not, all you will have is the actual address and not anything that might corrupt your device.
sdteaching-bounces@lists.nbpcb.org
The non sequitur responses I got didn’t seem to imply any kind of human initiative.
